NEW MATERIALS FOR ACOUSTIC ISOLATION

The Textile Technological Institute (AITEX) has developed, together with the company Piel SA, new textile materials of a high efficiency for isolation and acoustic fitting-out. It is a new textile that, made out of nanofibres, noticeably increases the capacity of the materials currently used, allowing the use of inferior thickness (reducing 50% approximately).

As a result, the new applications allow gaining useful space in constructions, something of a great importance due to the high cost of the land square metre. It also reduces the weight of the material used, which benefits the enterprises of the transport sector.
