R&D&I is an acronym for “Research, Development and Innovation”. This is the new concept for projects previously considered as only “research and development”, using the acronym R&D. This novel approach is related to research serving technological advancement focused on innovations that contribute to the needs of society.
R&D&I is one of the most essential aspects relating to growth in a healthy business organization. R&D&I focuses on the research, development and innovation components of a company. In other words, all the activities and actions carried out by an organization to improve its products and/or services.
Research involves investing to obtain knowledge, whereas innovation invests in knowledge to obtain good returns on investment. Companies usually need investments and support to enhance their R&D&I.
R&D&I projects are aimed at creating and/or improving production processes. There are no restrictions as far as the sector or technology to be developed are concerned. Projects may be national and international as well. At REDIT we can advise you and accompany you to promote innovation within your company.
Collaboration projects focus on the development of knowledge and explore each of the viability stages to anticipate market needs.
REDIT Technology Institutes are promoters and coordinators of many of these projects in the Valencian Community.

REDIT: Technology Institute Network of the Valencian Community. We are a private, non-profit association with 11 associated centres in charge of offering a range of services focused on R&D&I. Our goal is to enhance the Valencian model of Technology Institutes, a support system for business innovation, mainly SMEs and micro-SMEs. We pride ourselves on serving worldwide.
As an accredited interlocutor with the administration, we collaborate with both public and private organizations to promote R&D&I in the Valencian Community, nationally and internationally. We also operate as a think tank to generate knowledge by conducting studies on industry and innovation and drawing up a variety of reports. We promote cooperation between our Technology Institutes and other agents in the innovation system.
At REDIT we represent the 11 Technology Institutes in the region: AIDIMME, AIJU, AIMPLAS, AINIA, AITEX, IBV, INESCOP, ITC, ITE, ITENE and ITI.
Each of our Technology institutes covers the different production sectors in the region, and all of them provide services to companies in the Valencian Community seeking to improve their competitiveness through innovation.
Technology Institutes are private, non-profit research organizations with the necessary material and human resources to implement actions aimed at generating technological knowledge. They are associations incorporating companies created at the initiative of the production sectors in which they are involved.
Their goal is to improve competitiveness within the business fabric of the region and contribute positively to ongoing economic development. They achieve this via their extensive capabilities in R&D&I, advanced services, laboratory testing and specialized training.
